Uniforms

Jazz/Hip-Hop/Acro/Contemporary/Tap

Babies and Littlies: There is no set uniform for this age group. They may dress up as little princesses (or princes) in sparkly or frilly ballet dresses. Another option would be to visit the dancewear section in Target, K-Mart or Big W – you will find leotards, wrap skirts, ballet dresses and other dance attire for great prices. Shoes can be either pink leather ballet slippers or black leather jazz shoes.

Kindy – Senior Girls: It is compulsory for all students to wear uniform to class. Uniform consists of a black ‘Studi-O’ t-shirt or singlet along with any black tights/shorts/dance pants. Please ask your class teacher for a uniform order form.

Black Jazz shoes are to be worn by all students. There may be a pair to fit your child in the second-hand shoebox (second-hand shoes are kept at the Scout Hall). If not, you will need to purchase a pair of black leather split-sole jazz shoes.

There are also second-hand tap shoes in the box. Tap shoes should be ‘camel’ in colour.

Boys: Uniform is also compulsory for boys over Kindy age. Boys can order a black Studi-O t-shirt and may wear their own shorts and joggers/trainers.

Ballet

Ballet students will be required to wear pink leather ballet shoes with elastic, convertible stockings (in salmon colour) and a black leotard of your choosing.

Second-hand dance shoes

If you have any dance shoes you wish to sell, please bring them along to lessons with a name and price attached. Many people will be looking to buy! If you would like to look at the second-hand shoes with the intention to buy, please go to the Valentine Scout Hall when classes are running and the teacher on will assist you.
